Ariana Grande's popularity is exploding, so it makes sense that there's increased interest in her personal life, especially when it comes to her boyfriends and love life. Ariana's not too forthcoming about her past relationships, although we know that she used to date The Wanted's Nathan Sykes at one point.

Anyway, Ariana reveals that the split actually took place a 'while ago', but also adds that the two remain friends. Ariana and Nathan were dating until the end of last year, when it was actually rumored that they had broken up amid some trouble. However, neither one of them spoke about the breakup until now, when Ariana finally confirmed that they did split up.
She explained, "We broke up a little while ago, but he's a really good friend. He's so talented. I am so glad to have met him and have a friend like him in my life. He's an amazing person. It was very civil. It was mutual. He's such a great person. I adore him and he's so talented."

Well, regardless of the actual reason for their split, at least they seem to really be on good terms. We've seen enough from singers and actresses who end on bad terms and then just end up bad mouthing each other in interviews, and in general being really passive aggressive towards each other. It goes a long way to show the public that she's not like that, and won't always be involved in relationship melodrama.
