SHOCKING: Man hangs himself Because his Lover Ran away with his MONEY in Abeokuta,OGUN STATE.

POLICE in Ogun State are investigating the
suicide of a middle aged man who hanged
himself after being defrauded by his lover
who took off after fleecing him of millions of
naira.
According to the police, the man identified as
Samsideen Akinwunmi, committed suicide in
Abeokuta after being duped by his concubine.
Mr Akinwunmi, a carpenter, was said to have
been found dead after allegedly hanging
himself on a ceiling fan in his room on
Aboaba Street, Itori-Odo in Abeokuta.
Neighbours said that they saw Mr Akinwunmi
at about 2.45 pm on Saturday when he sent
all his children on errands before killing
himself. Before hanging himself, the deceased
left a suicide note, explaining why he took his
own life.
He indicated that his estranged lover had
duped him of millions of naira and that he
had to kill himself. Chief Omolaso Ojedele, a
community leader and the Alapinni of
Egbaland, said it was a tragedy.
Police have since taken Mr Akinwunmi's
corpse away to the morgue and investigations
are continuing into his death. It is not yet
clear if the lover who jilted Mr Akinwunmi
has been located yet.
