The Kaduna State Government has

programme, the Public Relations Officer,
Ministry of Agriculture, Mallam Dahiru

Abdullahi stated this in an interview
with News Agency of Nigeria on

He said that the training was part of
government's effort to improve the
standard of living of the people through
agriculture.
According to him, 50 other persons were
trained in irrigation farming, adding that
each was provided with water pumps,
sachets of assorted seeds, eight bags of
MPK Uria fertiliser, agro-chemicals, 10
litres of beat action, and N10,000 as
'starter packs'.
Abdullahi said others were trained in
fishery, bee-keeping, livestock, and
maize, cassava and rice cultivation under
the Sure-P programme.
He said the state government was
looking into how to utilise the
agricultural sector to further empower
youths and women under the SURE-P
programme.
Abdullahi said that the state
government would continue to create
more opportunities for unemployed
persons in the state.
