When it is announced that a massive movie has been given the green light and is moving forward with development, it doe not take long for the rumour mill to begin churning and for the fans to start talking about the planned film. That is exactly what has happened since it was revealed that Disney had bought the rights to the Star Wars franchise and were bringing us a new trilogy.
Natalie Portman played Padme
Since then, there have been plenty of rumours about which new actors we will see in Star Wars: Episode VII, as well as which actors would make a return appearance for the movie. It seems almost guaranteed that we will see the likes of Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher back but what other returning stars will there be.
There has been talk of possibly seeing Hayden Christensen back as a Force Ghost but what does that mean for Natalie Portman, who starred in the prequels with Hayden. Natalie played the role of Padme in the Star Wars prequels but could we actually see her make an appearance in Star Wars: Episode VII?
Natalie Portman for Star Wars: Episode VII?
Well we certainly won't see Natalie Portman as a Force Ghost, as she was not a Jedi Knight so, if they were to try to involve her, it would have to be in some sort of dream sequence or a flashback. We find it hard to see J.J. Abrams making room for Natalie Portman in Star Wars: Episode VII, although it would be a nice little nod to the prequels.
Would you like to see Natalie Portman back as Padme in Star Wars: Episode VII?
