ETISALAT GROUP CELEBRATES 150 MILLION SUBSCRIBERS MILESTONE

Etisalat Group has recorded 150 subscriber base across 15 international markets, including Nigeria.The Chief Executive Officer, Etisalat Group, Ahmad Abdulkarim Julfar, said this during his keynote speech at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the firm said in a statement on Monday. In the quest to be the leading and most admired emerging markets telecoms group, Julfar noted that achieving 150 million subscribers was a great milestone for Etisalat.


Drawing parallels between the fast-paced development of the UAE and Etisalat, Julfar said, “Today, Etisalat plays a key role in the Mobile Government strategy of the UAE and is on course to achieve 100 per cent Fibre-To-The-Home penetration – a world-first.”

“We were the first network in the Middle East to launch GSM, Internet services, 3-G and LTE,” said Julfar. “What is fascinating in this dynamic growth journey is the transformational role that mobile plays – to enrich people’s lives. At no time in human history has one technology revolutionized the way we do business, the way we are entertained, and ultimately, the way we live.”

In the same vein, Etisalat Nigeria has taken customer experience to a different level with the unveiling of the first ‘Gold Series’ experience centre situated in Lagos.

 The new state of the art gold series experience centres are targeted at our esteemed customers and will provide an environment that encourages customers to explore and immerse themselves in the essence of the Etisalat brand, the firm said.

At the media briefing held at the experience centre, the Director, Brands and Communication, Etisalat Nigeria, Mr. Enitan Denloye, said that the centres were designed to enable customers explore and experience the products and services offered by the brand in a highly interactive and exciting environment that stimulates the senses and educates the customer on what’s possible with the brand’s technology.
