David Beckham strips down for Super Bowl ad

This year's star-powered Super Bowl just got hotter with the announcement that football star David Beckham will be bringing fans the ad for his latest underwear campaign for his H&M collection, David Beckham Bodywear.

The retired footballer-turned-model has been busy working with director Nicolas Winding Refn to create another round of risqué H&M ads which see Victoria Beckham's husband strip down to boxers and possibly even further.

The ad sees David locked out of a photo shoot on a London rooftop wearing only his underwear. With no way down and just minutes to make it to the shoot, he performs a series of stunts in her efforts to get inside.

David, 38, uses his shirt as a sling to zipline across rooftops – flying past a billboard advertising the latest collection of underwear – scale buildings and navigate tricky obstacles, all in his signature briefs.

Speaking of the ad the dad-of-four said: "Having it at the Super Bowl, it's no bigger and better than that.

"So, it's kind of daunting because obviously there are so many people watching it," he added. "But I'm excited to see what people think."

David said that the three days he spent filming with director Nick were "incredible", but there was a downside – "Obviously doing it in London on a rooftop almost naked was a little bit cold", he said, "but a lot of fun."

Two endings of the ad were filmed – the #covered version sees David arrive at the photo shoot in his signature H&M boxer briefs and the #uncovered take sees the former footballer strip off completely – and fans get to choose which is aired by voting on the Swedish retailer's website.
